Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics Welcomes Anita Brkic

Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics is excited to welcome Anita Brkic to our team. Anita joins us as our newest Sales Manager, supporting the Glass and Optics market, as well as the Plating and Coatings market.

Anita comes to us with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Penn State. Her experience is in chemical engineering processes includes Nitric and Citric acid passivation (ASTM A967 & AMS 2700), Hex and Trivalent chromate conversion coatings (MIL-DTL-5541), Nital etching, zinc phosphating and anodizing.

Glass and Optics is an important market for Blackstone-NEY. The Glass and Optics market has been experiencing growth, which is expected to continue moving forward. Optical glass is formulated very precisely and must be carefully and precision cleaned to ensure that it is free of impurities. We cover all glass applications including tempered, borosilicate, polycarbonate, fused quartz, optical and composite glass. We have experience in designing systems that safely allow chemical processing and etching utilizing nitric, citric, sulfuric, and HF solutions.

With Plating and Finishing markets expected to grow rapidly, Blackstone-NEY is providing support for efficient processing and substrate cleaning. This includes effective organic contaminant removal prior to coating and added process improvement for coating adhesion and uniformity. We can provide systems for various plating applications across all markets. Our cleaning and processing systems are in use in plating mirrors, optic diffraction lenses, metals, and various substrates. Our equipment can also be used to support faster and uniform coating removal such as chrome removal, chromate deoxidation, and stainless steel etch residue removal.
