Ransohoff, originally named The Ideal Concrete Company, was founded in 1916 by Nathan Ransohoff, introducing a batch type tumbling barrel as his first product line. Offering concrete mixers as the primary source of revenue, the idea of applying a finish to parts by tumbling them with an aggregate or corn media was originally born while Nathan was watching construction workers clean their tools in his cement mixers after a days work. Today, Ransohoff is one of the worlds largest producers of drum washers and tumbling barrels. Often used for cleaning and polishing ammunition shells, castings, carbon covered remanufactured parts, and fasteners.
